Workshops

Harbor's workshop program can be a supplement to day camp or can be a program on its own. The workshop is an exciting option for students interested in fine-tuning a particular skill or experimenting with a new one.

The Workshop Program consists of a variety of academic, specialty, and studio art workshops. The core of the program was designed to keep the students' academic momentum going all summer long. The emphasis is always on making the learning experience enjoyable and exciting for students.

Class size for all workshops is small and limited according to the nature of the subject matter. In workshops students learn, discover, and create just for the fun of it!  A highly qualified staff of dedicated teachers is assembled to challenge and meet the needs of each student.

Workshops vary from year to year, and may include such courses as cartooning, painting, pottery, digital photography, website design, ninjutsu, chess, drama, fun in the kitchen, language arts, math, card sharks, CPR, and Survivor, to name just a few.

Day campers who are also enrolled in the workshop program will be taken to their workshops at the appropriate time and will return to their camp group at the conclusion of the session.

Workshops, in combination with the day camp program, are optional and are available at an additional charge. All workshops meet daily, Monday through Friday, for one hour. Some workshops require a two week commitment. Students may enroll in up to three workshops per week.
